Hard to tell how many other users might need this, but I've used it several times over the years and could use it again.

For certain types of training such as things requiring Federal certification, you need a way for a trainer to authorize access for a user. The authorizing person enters their password, then creates a password for the user that is good until they pass the test or whatever, when it is deleted. With this function, Opus could act as a true LMS.

For reason related to the above, I would also like to have a function for Opus to use a network username and password for access to a program. I am writing a routine at the moment to generate diplomas and wallet cards for a couple of certified user programs so that instructors in the field can print them. While I will use the password list feature to restrict access, it would be much better if I had this function along with a way for Opus to report to me usage and by whom.

I use this feature a lot to create software for education where an authorised user (the teacher) creates accounts for others (the students). The whole thing is database driven.

The latter suggestion is an interesting one, as some of my software is teacher only and would benifit from login in the current network user. I wonder whether this is possilbe by reading certian keys from the registry?

Hi,
I love this idea. It is one of the next aspects that I intend to work on in my project.

I have not yet even considered how to implement this.

Still learning to crawl, before learning to walk, let alone talk.

Regards
