I wonder if this is something that others would find useful?

Photoshop has an action exchange where you can download photoshop actions that automate various tasks, making text effects, background effects, frames - all sorts of things.

Flash has components that you can download from various sources, some pay for, others free. They add functions of pre built and coded buttons, widgets and effects - again all manner of things - you just drop them into your project and amend the code or use the GUI that comes with it to change variables.

I've used a few components that have been made available for Opus by other users and thought it would be nice to have an exchange similair to the action exchange and the flash components thing ?

This could even open up a new revenue stream for some of the coders out there? (I'm not a coder!) Chris Jones... are you up for it?? :)

Hi Craig

Sure, I'm up for it.

In fact, there's been an offer on the front page of my site
to host any and all opus resources submitted. Not much response
though. :-(

Cheers
Chris

I knew you'd be interested Chris!

Anybody else?

I'm sure it would speed up creation and help those of us for whom coding is too scary!

I'm thinking of all those items people ask for on a regular basis, like video players and text effect generators, mouse followers, buttons that do things.. like volume sliders, knobs and erm you know.. loads of stuff! maybe new templates for quizzes, preloaders..

take a look at these for ideas...

You just know you'll find a use for some of these things if you could do them in OPUS!!!
