Hello All,

With the added features of Bilinear Resampling and Page/Chapter Resizing would it be possible to implement a feature which would change the publication from Full Screen to Window and back again.

This would be ideal as it would enable user to customise how they like to use the publication. Scripting would be great so you could set the resolution and everything from script.

Currently most multimedia publications I develop are to to 1024x768 full screen but some of my user have requested a Window version at 800x600. It would be great to offer both currently I develop two version.

I love using Opus and think it is by far the best application for both multimedia development and database GUI development.

there is a short term work around for this, i'll try and explain it as best i can.

it involves creating three publications.

the main publication needs to be published as full screen and as a window publication. Also ensure that in all the Chapter properties that Resizing is enabled and "Maintain aspect ratio is also enabled". When you publish the publication set the Runtime Options to "Create exe and data files as "Data file for each Chapter"".

the setup of files is as follows:
in the publication folder create a fullscreen and window folder and put the main *.ilm file for the fullscreen publication into the fullscreen folder and the main *.ilm file for the window publication into the window folder.

now the main ilm file is the one which contains the information about full screen or window. so create another publication which will copy the main *.ilm from one folder to the main publication folder. Once the main application is restarted it will either be full screen or window.

but it should be easy enough for dw to implement this via scripting or actions in the future.

i've posted a screenshot of the folder setup which should make the whole thing easier to understand.

For windowed publications it would be great that when the Border Resizable option is selected that you can select it to keep the window aspect ration fixed.

This would make publications which are developed as a Window to be resized and maintain its good looks.

would it be possible in the future to include such a feature in script, to change from fullscreen to window mode, so you could also set the default window size too.

i have been using the work around but it results in a bloated file size which isn't ideal for internet downloads.
