hi,
i have just download prestoFx...

It could be cool to have the same animation possibilty in opus (for example, the text animation seem to be the same that in opus pro05 but with the ability to control the overlap and much more).

I've asked for this in the past... Presto Web FX type of things in Opus and was told that there were no plans to do this as there was no demand for it and the products are aimed at different markets... something to that effect. I have used the effects such as the rotating cube as a sort of logo graphic (like on TV) in the corner of a project before now but had to put a flash video object in the show... it worked okay.. but it would be better if it was an Opus effect. I'm sure it must be possible to transfer those effects over to Opus format? After all ActionScript and OpusScript have the same Daddy!

Craig,

I think the problem lies in the fact that all the effect rendering in Presto is taken care of by Flash. Presto writes the scripts and Flash renders the effects on screen. To make Opus use all the effects internally would mean writing a huge amount of code. In effect we would have to emulate Flash internally, which to my way of thinking is a case or reinventing the wheel. This would add massively to the size of the player and would divert resources away from developing new unique features in Opus.

Presto is an inexpensive product and as Opus can play the content it produces for the time being I think this is the way it will stay.
