Hi,

although some bugs with flash export are eliminated in SR2 there a still some strange behaviours when exporting without prior rendering all objects.

E.g. it seems that using special characters and exporting to flash works in SR2. In fact this does not work as it should. I try to import flash-exported files into RoboDemo and I got only a black rectangle where the swf-file should appear.
After rendering all objects it works well. So this seems to be a bug in the flash export.

If it is not possible to fix it (it seems so becaus the bug is well known) please add the possibility to automatically render when exporting to flash.

Frank

Does it play okay in the browser (i.e. using flash)? Sounds like a bug with RoboDemo, not Opus.

It plays in the browser and it plays in RD if it was previously rendered. I do al lot of work with RD and never found this strange behaviour when importing other flash files which were exported from other tools.

... and another thing that I forgot to mention:

Some objects are not in the correct position after exporting to flash. In most cases the positions differ 'only' in 2 or 3 pixels but this is enough if you need an exact positioning.

If it works in Flash, and doesn't work in RD, then clearly the RD import doesn't support all the features of Flash.

... a very adventurous conclusion. Since Opus flash export has had a lot of bugs in the past and RD is a product of Macromedia who invented the flash standard I would not exclude the possibility of a bug in opus export so overhasty.
