Sometimes it could be very helpful to have the possibility to drag objects from a page, outside the visible screen without removing them.

Especially for testing purposes this would be much easier to do than to remove objects or to make objects invisible.

I found that objects can already be placed outside the screen but once they are placed within the visible screen they cannot be dragged out anymore.

If you press the Control Key you can drag objects all over your screen with your mouse and of course back on the workspace again as well :)

... thank you very much for this hint. How did you find that out? Is it described in the help file? I thought that it should be possible somehow but could not find out how.

Help - Working with Objects - Moving Objects

However there is a restriction - this only works on the same page, meaning that if you drag your object off the visible page you won't find it if you switch to another page in the organizer - which may be a bit anoying :?

The area outside the visible page is not a scratch space - it is part of the page, so that you can animate objects on from off the page, for example.

If you need temporary storage use the Scratch Pad gallery, or one of your own for more long term storage.
