Opus: creator 9.01
OS: windows 7
System: Intel 6400@2x2.13 /Asus X1950
There are two things I like to see in Opus Creator:
1. An explanation on the anoying 'exception unknown' error message. It appears randomly, not any clue what causes it so no indication where to look to solve the problem. It blocks the preview and the publishing of the publication so you cannot do anything else then go back to a earlier version an loose all the added content made after this earlier message.
2. The possibility to sort the order of the slides in a slideshow using the name of the folder and the *.* option to select all the slides in a folder. Main reason to use this is to avoid the neceesity to incorporate the slides in the publication (as is suggested in the manual.

Kind regards,

An explanation of the unknown? Sounds rather paradoxical for a Monday afternoon :-)

Yes, the message exists but you're not really helping your cause by failing to post any information about your system's software / hardware used for development. I think this is very much:

an unknown problem on an unknown system = an unknown solution

On a probably more helpful note: if the unknown error does occur, make sure that Opus' (creator) executable is well and truly dead using the Task Manager and this problem does (did to be fair) have the bad habit of just killing the GUI.

Hi Friligt2

Your original post on this topic was in Feb 2011.

At the time, Mack was unable to help because he didn't know enough about your computer and OS however he did make one helpful suggestion, hoping that might help you solve your problem.

Please remember, most contributors to these forums are volunteers who freely give their time and expertise to help others. For my part, I cannot thank those who have helped me over the years, enough.

As a contributor occasionally myself, It is always nice to get feedback, to know if the problem has been solved.

I see you have since updated your profile, so more is known about your system now. Creator has also been upgraded version wise since 2011. Latest version is 8.12. Your version in your profile is 8.03?

The important thing is - do you still get these error messages today?

Regards

Graham

Due to circumstances I did not have time to answer you earlier.
In the meantime I've upgraded the opus version to 9.0 and did not have the problem with this version!!
Thanks for your reply.
