I love Opus Pro. I use it for almost everything I work on - except interactive tutorials. I used to even use it for that, but then I discovered that it's easier and faster to do in program dedicated to that purpose. Not I said "easier" and "faster"; the tutorials I created in Opus were so much better, because there are so many things you can do in Opus that the "demo tutorial" software won't do - for instance, right-click ability.
So here's my very simple plan for Digital Workshop, that would help them garner a spot in the "demo tutorial" software world.
Opus Pro XE has the ability to do screen-recording, but it's export is video, and is not interactive. Digital Workshop could enhance the screen recording feature by making it an option so that every time a screenshot is taken, a page is created in the publication, with that screenshot as the background image. Then, after the screen-recording session is done, we could just go in and add call-outs, captions, and interactive hotspots, actions, etc. When done, we could export it to any format Opus Pro can export to: .exe, .swf, .avi, etc.
I think this would be easy for DW programmers to set up, right? It would certainly help us. It would save us 3 steps and a lot of time; we wouldn't have to manually create a spearate image for each screenshot, then create a separate page for each image, then have to import the image into the page.
Please, please, can you do this? I'd be your best friend for life!
