I built a new PC and found that stuff I had created (a couple of exe slideshows) wouldn't work, so I reinstalled Opus and, though these exe files wouldn't run, new ones I created would!

OK thought I!, I'll re-do the files and rebuild them (not something I want to do, but a necessity in this instance). On my newly built PC, with newly installed version 6 of OPus Creator, they work.

I wanted to use them this afternoon on a new PC at school, i.e. just run the newly created exe files and guess what! Yep lesson down the pan because they dobn't flippin work!

Why oh why is this such hard work?

PLease can anybody suggest a solution?

any thanks

Kevin Palmer

Hi Kevin,

Well it seems to be the week for posts with strange Opus happenings - but that doesn't solve the problem :-)

Can you post the EXE (it will need to be zipped) and IMP file and I'll run them in a sandbox here and see what the problem might be.

The new PC issue would seem to be an odd reason for things not to work, unless you've switched to Vista - in which case I guess anything is possible.

Mack

P.S Almost forgot - add some info about your hardware (new and old) & OSs to the post as this will really help.
