I am working on a presentation with a time travel element. I want to pick up todays date system_date_full and then have a countback on the screen with real time changing numbers back to 1000 BC. Any ideas how I could do this?

Thanks

I did something similar for a project several years ago. I started with an arbitrary date and had counters roll to a new date. I just built an animated gif to do the changing numbers.

You could probably do something similar and build your animated countdown using the same font and style choices that you use for your display of the current date.

create a new date object and use the getYear, etc within three concentric loops with each loop handling one element - year, month, day.
