Using Opus Creator V6.00 under Vista

I want to incorporate a large image to a page and add a vertical scrollbar so that users can move down through the parts which aren't initially visible.

So I've created my image object, set the viewing size to 'Fixed' rather than 'Scale to fit' in image properties, and added a scroll bar. Very good, when I preview the page it works just as I want it to and I can scroll up and down to my heart's content.

However...

Once I publish the thing the ability to scroll disappears. The scroll bar's still there but the thumb fills the whole vertical space and can't be moved about. Only the part of the image that's initially visible is accessible - the rest can't be got at.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Niall.

Not sure. I always think Opus scrollbar was design for text boxes rather than other objects which is why they don't always work in the way expected if not using them for text.

But, you can make it do what you want quite easily.

1. Create a frame object the size of the section you want viewable say 800x600.

2. Create the image object inside the frame above at the size of the image say 800 x1200.

3. Add the image to the above image object (2)

4. Add the scrollbars to the above frame object (1)

Mack

Thanks Mack, that's extremely helpful! I'll do that.

It's just weird how it worked on preview but broke when published. Hey ho.

Niall.
