Post subject: | menu items unresponsvie |
I created a menu of buttons (25) which redirects the user to a different part of the software. On occasion, during my testing stage, a few of the buttons would not work. I click on it, nothing happens, click on another button, it works, come back to the main menu and try the first one again, and it works this time. I re-created the button and got it to work a few times but then it starts to act up again. this also happens on a sub-menu of buttons I created. I have a random number of buttons that intermittenly work without rhyme or reason. Any ideas? Thanks Rene |

That is some curious behavior. By any chance are you using a wireless mouse and keyboard? If so there are couple things you could do to temporarily eliminate these as a factor. Even simply things like changing mouse-pad surface dramatically improve HID (human input device) registering positions and clicks. I don't want to point away from Creator app being a problem, it's just good practice to ask the simple questions first. |

Post subject: | Button Names |
Rene -- What did you name your Button Objects? OPUS does NOT like duplicate names. Here's a nice solution: Create your first Button Object and give it any special properties (cursor rollover, color changes, etc), then name the Button Object "Button (1)." Using parenthesis and starting with "1" are key. When you highlight that Button and duplicate it, OPUS automatically increments the name for the second Button eg Button (2). It's also a great way to know how many Buttons you've created, and you never have a duplicate name. If you have duplicate names, use the Organizer on the left, and Rename the Buttons, then see if things work. |
