Hi,

I'd like the end of one video to trigger another. I've tried using the 'synchronise to end' trigger but that doesn't seem to work. Any ideas?

It should...

1. Create first video object and set to play or play on trigger.

2. Create second video object.

3. Add sync to end trigger to video #2 and ENSURE your select the first video to link in the window containing the choices.

3. Add Play Video action to sync trigger above and ENSURE that you select video #2.

This works.

Fantastic Mac. Thank you ever so much.

I had another trigger for the same video and hadn't differentiated the two. But following your instructions to the letter sorted it out.

It's gone wrong now.

I should have explained that there are four videos on the page. So when one of the video stops it should trigger the other three.

This works when I add one trigger. But not when I add three. When I put in three syncs the first video plays as well.

This implies all three will be played simultaneously once the first has finished?

Basically I have four 'video buttons' on the page, which begin on load.

When one of those is clicked on it plays the video which previously was hidden but on top of it.

At the same time the other three video buttons stop playing. I need them to start playing again when each video stops.

A bit complicated but I'm stuck with it I'm afraid.

Now when I do as you kindly suggested it works with one sync but when I try to add more than one, the original video button doesn't stop when the video plays.

Hope that makes it clearer, though I'm not sure it does.

Thanks for your help Mac.

Nah sorry, clear as mud :-)

Post the IMP, minus the videos and I'll see if I can make sense.

Thanks Mac. I've stripped all the video. Hope you can make sense of it. The 'req btn' is where I've tried use the sync. It works when I add the first one, but not the second.

I've had a look and think I understand what should be happening, but even removing the two sycn triggers and testing the the basic basic idea of initial buttons controlling the main videos underneath wouldn't work except for the first video. I did a little digging and the actions seem identical (with different video links) but they just plain wouldn't play the video underneath as you'd expect.

I don't know whether this is a problem on your creator version or simply something a miss when I loaded it in to Opus Pro?

Also what are the specs of the videos?

The videos are all swf.

Mac, I just tried it by swapping the swf files with wmv files and it works. So you were right, it is something to do with swf. A shame, I was hoping to keep this a swf project.

Wasn't actually my line of though - I'd used MPG1s and these didn't work either.

I just wondered whether with all the videos, there was too much pressure on the machine. One of the first projects I wrote for a client require two videos playing on screen and the old machine I was using at the time couldn't cope with this and the other actions and kept corrupting the publication.

But hey, in programming, unlike life, it's getting there not the path traveled that counts :-)
