Hello. New Creator user, very happy with the program compared to a wide range of other titles I've tested - not too limited and not like building everything from scratch in Flash Professional

I've come across something that's really stumped me. Somehow I have pages that reload after 12 seconds, despite my cancelling the Show Page for H:M:S function, cleared out all the Actions for the page and done all I can to remove any explicable scripting. This feature causes Flash to seize up, so I'm keen to comprehend what I am doing here.

What I THINK I have done is started with a master page that had a soundtrack that was set to repeat every 12 seconds. I deleted the sound but the instruction to repeat the now silent page is in the dark somewhere.

Does anyone have an idea where to look? Much obliged.

Hello Tom.

As a workaround, simply create another Master Page without the Play-audio action. Then on your content Page or pages, change the Page Properties to use the new Master Page. (just Dbl-click on a blank area of the Page in Opus Editor -- will open the Properties dialogue window. See the 'General' Tab.)

If you need to rebuild, you can drag & drop in the Opus Organizer Tree -- I prefer Right-Click when doing this, so I can use the option to "Copy Into" a new Page.

Good luck.

Thanks for showing a Profile with system and Opus/Creator information.

That's pretty much what I did. I suspect that there's a script at work somewhere and because I'm using Creator I can't see it. No biggie, just wanting to learn how to drive.

I'm animating musical waveforms for a high school interactive. The tweening is working nicely.

Tom,

Glad you're progressing.

As a productivity Tip, if you are using Standard Triggers & Actions... and have an Action (or a Trigger + Action set) you like on one Object -- you can COPY it and PASTE it onto another Object.

For example, if you have a pulsating action on a MouseOver (trigger event), you can select that "Trigger" and copy it. While leaving the Actions dialogue box open, Click to select another object. That object's actions will show in the Actions dialogue. Simply Paste. Voila!

You can select multiple objects and Paste that Trigger/Action group. etc. etc. The only thing you have to know additionally is to properly select the Object or the Trigger (in the Actions dialogue) prior to Pasting.... i.e., select 'where' the action or trigger+action will be Pasted.
