Hello users, I am using Opus Creator 9.04. I thought HTML5 was compatible with Ipad, but unfortunately the HTM5 exports of the games I make do not work properly in Ipad Air Safari. They work best in internet explorer 11. No problems there. In Firefox and Chrome they work reasonable, but there are some minor display and sound problems, like sounds playing only once. So it'ss not perfect. Are more of you experiencing compatibility problems? As an example I've inserted a link to my latest concept, a lotto game. ( http://html5.logovisie.nl/s_lotto/s_lotto.htm ). There are no sounds programmed in this game. When you tap one of the cards on the left side of the screen it turns and next you have to drag it to the matching card on the right side of the screen. Once tapped a card all other cards cann't be tapped anymore until the shown card is dragged in the right place. This does not function well in Safari on Ipad. You can drag the first card into place, but when you tap a new card, it does not show the picture and all cards can be dragged around. It works well in internet explorer 11. Can you tell me why this does not work ok on Ipad? If you need more information or the "imp" files, I will be happy to send them to you. I haven't tried this game on Android, but experienced similar problems with other games on this platform on diferent tablets. In the meantime I have also tried Dolphin and Chrome browsers on the Ipad and the problem is the same as with Safari. Thanks for reading and hopefully you can help me. Erik |

Hello Mack, Thanks for the effort. Both applications in your links function correct in Safari. Where do I go wrong? (In Firefox there sometimes is a transparent ghost image when you drag the image to soon after you tapped it or if you try to drag a covered card. That is the same in my concept, but that was not the issue now, though interesting.) Regards Erik |

It could be any number of factors from a corrupt publication to a design issue. Unfortunately, I don't have Creator and I don't think you can open Opus publications I'd experiment with building some small scale prototypes to see what works best. On the whole, Opus HTML5 works well across all modern browsers. Mack |

Hello Mack, I just wanted to let you know, I have found the solution to my problem. I just managed to reproduce the application you made as an example in your previous post. In Creator there are different ways to perform or prevent actions. In the end the (visual) effect is the same. Some of them appear to work in the regular browsers and not in Safari. Before I tried to prevent actions on the unturned cards by using a frame or picture with the "stop mouse clicks passing through" property. That worked in IE, Firefox an Chrome but not in Safari. Instead I now used the "disable object" action for this purpose. This works in all browsers. Your examples and answers made me explore more avenues of possibilities and what remained was the answer I found! Thanks again for your help! Erik |
