Presto.
Just downloaded the demo - looks interesting but I am wondering what it does that can't be done in Opus?

Can someone who uses both - give a quick overview of the major benefits of using Presto over an Opus Flex solution?

Regards

Pete

Pete --

I've got the "old" version of Presto (proof that "you can't teach 'old' dogs new tricks"), and I use it for special graphics which OPUS can't do. It will morph, and the old version has a 'killer' cube which you can place up to six different graphic images upon, then have it rotate any number of degrees and speed you want.

Here's a list of effects it does:

Cross Fade, Cube, Curl Up, Explode, Lens, Morph, Rotate 3D, Spiral, Twist, and Wave. You can take a graphic and make it continuously "wave" for example. OPUS transitions happen once. Presto effects can be continuous (like the cube continously rotating). Each effect can be further adjusted/manipulated so they have a different appearance each time you create something.

To me, this is like a carpenter who has a variety of screwdrivers, chisels, hammers, planes, and saws for the different situtations he/she faces while woodworking. Depending on the requirements, and the craftsman's skill, different tools come in handy, and are often mandatory.

Someone once said, "if the only tool you have is a hammer, then you fix everything with a hammer." I'm always looking at new software tools which can be used within OPUS. I use Presto primarily for logos, and special "special" effects.

Hope that helps.

Fred - Many thanks for the response.
One or two interesting additions there (the morph MIGHT be useful) not sure about the cube though (seems a bit dated to me)

Did I read somewhere that the SWF files created in Opus Flex are not as streamlined as in Presto?

Any more insights would be welcomed

Thanks again

Pete
