I am just thinking ahead. Will VMware PC environments run Opus standalone Pubs without incident? I am particularly thinking about Reading/Writing variables to external files.

thanks.

VMware is great, if you've got a power enough PC, it will run your OS as if you sat in front of a machine with the OS installed on a HD. I've switch to Microsoft's VPC- which isn't quite as good, but free and use them as test environments for running my publications under a range of older OS.

I was concerned that blade and VM machines would raise issues around user privileges, and possibly graphics drawbacks. (I suppose I should include Citrix in the fray.)

Good to know it's a transparent environment. Thanks Mac.
