I was saddened to learn today that Bree O'Mara was amongst those killed in the Tripoli air crash. As the leading light of our marketing department Bree made a significant impact on our company and changed both the way we saw ourselves and the way the world saw us. She was bright and vivacious with a quick insight and sharp intelligence, and I greatly enjoyed working with her. Our thoughts are with her family and friends for whom her loss will surely leave a very large hole indeed.

I am sorry for the loss, to the company and to her family.

I called from Sydney very early one morning months ago - and found Bree on the other end of the phone.

While she couldnt answer a really technical problem I had, never the less, she was most patient, and very professional.

I too, wish to extend to you all at DW and to her family my deepest sympathies for what is a great loss.

Kindest thoughts..

Rick.

Since she left DW, Bree was forging a career as a writer with some success. Not sure if that's a small consolation or makes it more tragic but I'm sure it was more gratifying than rebranding a overly-modest computer company, no matter how successful she was at that.

There is an obituary here:

Oh my goodness... I have just seen this. It shows how long I have been away from Digital Workshop!

I am so sad to learn of this tragic news albeit late. Bree was great to work with.

Thank you! Thinking of you, Bree.
