For Christmas my son and daughter helped me buy another flat panel 19" color computer monitor. They've come down in price to $290 USD with rebates. I replaced my 1-old video card with a newer one ($59 USD with 512MB video memory) which can handle two monitors. It was a simple task to remove and replace the old card, and under Control Panel -> Display tell Windows about using two monitors.

I used to have to toggle (Alt+Tab) between applications often. I normally have PSP7 and OPUS XE open at the same time. The two monitors work well together. I put PSP full screen on one, and OPUS full screen in the other. I was surprised when I double left or double right clicked on Objects to have the Properties or Action windows open in the other monitor. It's actually quite nice (once you get used to it). When I do a Preview, it also appears on the other monitor, so my Edit area is always visible.

Thought I'd share this positive experience. If you use OPUS as much as I do, you might consider this as a productivity improvement. My "ALT" and "TAB" fingers are starting to heal.
