Hi everyone,

We recently had a need to develop some applications to work in conjunction with Opus publications since Opus doesn’t provide this functionality directly. Not yet anyway. These applications are as follows:
1) An exe with one dll to create a one page pdf from the image or object sent to the clipboard. No driver installation is needed. However, the pdf quality is restricted to the image quality sent to the clipboard and can only create one page at the time. We use this to email pdf attachments.
2) An exe with one dll that runs as a source code. Create a text file with comma separated values that can be read and be used in Opus applications. This utility collects PC related information. for example network ID, network status, hard drive serial number, network card serial number, number of installed network cards, total number of IP addresses, number of CPU’s, CPU make, screen resolution, default printer, available memory, etc
3) An exe with one dll that allows interaction with scanners and provides multiple page scanning capabilities in one tiff file. (This is an already developed application that can have a customized look and feel, as well as, integrate with Opus based publications using file actions and text parameter passing.
In order to recover some of our development cost, if there is enough interest we may make them available to other developers for a reasonable fee. Royalty free of course. They could also be bundled with Opus Products and branded as your own.

Let me know if you are interested.

Regards
Saki
