Am considering upgrading from Pro 04, largely to gain the Page Curl transition. However, before committing my pennies could someone describe how effective it is?

I presume that as the curl takes place it gradually reveals the next page it is transitioning to? What control over its appearance and how it works will I have over it?

Many thanks for any advice.

John

The "Page Curl" transition is very nice. I'd buy OPUS just for this improvement. It apparently was first used in OPUS Presenter. It's now available in OPUS XE.

You can use this transition on a Page or an Object. Like other transitions, you have a speed selector, and you can select from which corner you want it to curl. I've use Page Scroll to bring a background text box onto the screen, then used the Object Curl transition to lay down text on top. Very nice!!!

Someone once said, "a special effect isn't special if you use it all the time," so I'd recommend using this sparingly to really drive home something, or to mark a totally different section. I'm sure you will LOVE this new feature of OPUS XE.

As Fred correctly states, this transition is also available in Opus Presenter 04, so you could download the 30-day evaluation of this software to try out the transition on your own projects.

This evaluation is available from http://www.digitalworkshop.com/download ... 4_eval.exe

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards,
