As this does not directly have anything to do with OPUS I'm posting it here and maybe someone can help .

What do I have to put into the autorun.inf file so that it displays directly the contents of the CD drive in the Windows Explorer ?

I've tried out:

open=explorer.exe

but this option only opens Windows explorer in the My Documents view , but does not change to the contents of the CD drive :(

I don;t think this is possible - the AutoRun handler isn't very "clever" and you would have no idea of the CD drive letter.

You could create a simple Opus publication that just launches an explorer view of the SYSTEM_PUBLICATION_DIR and exits, then launch that from your autorun.inf

Thanks to both of you

I'll probably try out Duncan's idea of creating a small Opus IMP with the Launch action.

For a cursory glance it looks like that "open" program would do the job for you in less time - just stick
Code:
[autorun]
OPEN=open.exe

in your autorun.inf and put the open.exe in the same folder. Same effect as my suggestion but with less effort! ;-)

Why do it the harder way when there's an easier one :D .
Not that it wouldn't work with Opus , but this is even simpler.

Thanks Duncan !
