Adobe gets to cement market share and give Microsoft a bit of a poke in the eye.

Or they just being nice.

Still if you needed an incentive to learn a ECMA based scripting - this must be it.

Can we expect to see further Flash support in Opus since ActionScript is now open source.

I would really like to see this especially as the world moves away from CD/exe publications and toward Web based learning. More feature support in Flash would be charming.

Microsoft and Adobe have similar company cultures -- they don't give anything away unless they get a lot in return.
Just because something is open source doesn't mean you can do what you like with it.
Also, actionscript is not open source.
