I was looking for a good way to create basic sounds that synchonize with appearances of vector objects, hoping for some suggestions on a good sound editor. Further online research has located Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/) which is an excellent open source program. It's a useful resource that I suspect many on the Forum already know about.

Also look at http://www.gigavox.com/levelator.

This is used after your recording to even out recording levels.

Free for non-comercial use.
