If you produce slide shows and want a very quick and easy way of reducing the size of an image before including them, Microsoft have a very useful Power Toy called Image Resizer.

Install the utility. Rightclick on images. select resize images. Select the size. It then creates the resized image with a modified name---to indicate the size chosen.
This is the same function as in the right click--Send To--Mail Recipient, but without having to e-mail it.
quick and easy and optimises the images VERY well.
