I have an old laptop with Radeon Monility M6 (4c59) graphics. ATI have long since stopped support of this device, so hunting the web, I found the Omega drivers which do support this old Radeon set. I installed the drivers and so far, everything is working well. It has many capabilities beyond the standard ATI set up, since it's specifically for gamers, but you can tweak things I've never heard of. Normally I would never upgrade from a third party, but I was desperate to solve my Opus problem.
As with all upgrades like this, there is a huge risk, but in my case it worked fine (didn't solve the problem) but I have updated drivers.
