Hi there,

Having recently registered I'd like my first post on this forum to be a huge "Thank You!" to everyone involved in making this Forum such a wealth of information.

From the administrators who keep things ticking over, through to the members who highlight valuable topics and of course to the very many high quality members who give freely of their time and experience.

Last time I used this software was way back in Illuminatus 4. Things have come a long way since then and I'm looking forward to getting back into productivity soon.

All the best everyone!
Dave :D

Dave --

Welcome to the OPUS Forum!!! Yes, the product has drastically changed/improved since the Illuminatus days.

This request is for all users of this Forum -- To help US help YOU, could you please go back into your Profile, and in the Signature Block give us what version of OPUS you are using, along with basic specs for your hardware? As you read the Forum, you'll see time after time, people giving help, but the information is for a different version of OPUS. Everytime you post, your information will then be visible.

What have you built so far? What do you have planned?

Hi Fred,
Thanks for your welcome and reply.

Have indeed seen the info displayed for a lot of the forum users.
Must be missing the obvious but I Logged in, clicked on the Profile button as suggested but there doesn't seem to be any way of editing my profile (beyond changing the radio button selections).
Would be delighted to update this info if you could give me a nudge in the right direction please?

My past experience was mostly developing for friends and family. Simple reminders on "shutting down the PC" to slightly more elaborate interactive CD to send memories of home to a relative abroad.

Plans for the future, well, with Opus it seems that there's very little that can't, somehow, be achieved.

One project I would really like to get going on is a revamp of a "Deaf Awareness" program that I developed years ago. It originated from my working with deaf colleagues and from learning the BSL (British Sign Language) alphabet as a youngster. It covered many associated topics, not just the signing.

My sig will show
Opus 6 (Eval at present); Windows XP Home SP2; 1GHz Mobile AMD Athlon 4; 40GB HD; 512Mb RAM

Here's to progress!

All the best,
Dave

Hi Dave

Welcome.

When you open your Profile, find the Signature block. That's where you can add the information Fred mentioned.

Hi Sentosa and thanks for the welcome.

Don't know what happened in the interim but having gone back into my profile, an additional box has now appeared between the original 2. Have updated my signature accordingly.

Thanks to both you and demofred for your guidance.

Have spent a while browsing the forum and tried to get onto your website. Sounds very interesting. Looking forward to seeing it once reconstruction's complete.

All the best,
Dave
