I wanted to 'get serious' about setting up a Database for Opus pub, and wanted to do a lot. When looking for help and designer tools, came across this in my search.

SQL Database Designer AJAXIFIED!!

"SQL Developer? You will fall in love with this tool! Graphically design databases online real time with this AJAX powered demo. Check it out!!!! "

The above handles a few different varieties of SQL DBs. :)
Here is the direct link: http://ondras.zarovi.cz/sql/demo/

And a couple other useful links/guidelines. ( topic as shown )

BTW, a repeat link for the SQLite Manager which is a Firefox plug-in. 8)

As the 'Designer' above is a demo, let's hope it continues to be available in future.

A little update. ...Attachment is .JPG to show interface.

The WWW SQL Designer is an 'okay' tool, but there are a couple 'gotchas'.
-- you lose your work if you Reload/Refresh the web page. DON'T
-- connecting lines do not show when printing out (workaround is to take screehshot and print from an imageviewer app.

Helpful tips:
1. Use the "Save/Load" feature frequently.
--- "SAVE XML"
then, Select-All (cntrl A) and Copy it. Paste that into a Wordpad .txt document and SAVE that file. (or any other text editor)

2. To RELOAD your Diagram
--- Open the Saved Worpad document and Copy all of the XML code.
--- On the SQL Designer website, you can "LOAD" your earlier work. This will wipe-out whatever diagram is currently showing.
Click "Save/Load", Paste your XML code into the edit area. Then Click "LOAD XML".
voila! You have your prior work restored.

3. Another use of the Save/Load feature:
--- You can "SAVE SQL"
similar to the above, copy and paste all of that SQL code into a Wordpad document for Saving.
--- Then, if you Paste that SQL code over in your other SQL Tool (say SQL Manager plugin for Firefox), you can Execute the SQL and it will generate all the Tables and Fields you have "designed".

Not bad at all... for the price/free.
