I chanced upon Google Gears, and wondered whether it has anything useful, accessible there to expand types of applications built with OpusPro.

I came across this by looking for some SQLite stuff... where I ran into "Create Virtual Table". That intersected with Google Gears.

One thought I had was collaboration uses. Maybe google Docs, or some other web tools could provide sets of documents for collaborative review, input and updates. 'Gears' could take these offline, and Opus plus SQLite DB could provide some user-interactive viewing and manipulation. i.e., Opus pub is the front-end and the browser-object might be kept 'off page' if the data layer is extracted. In this case the application could be a brain-storming session... gathering various input.

Most of the Gears FAQ talks in javascript and ajax, so I am also guessing most of this is beyond easy reach. Gears is now 0.4 Beta only, so still very early.

Does it make any sense to watch this technology?
