Interesting demographic-info for websites visited

This site provides some interesting info about who visits various websites.

Probably this has limited usefulness (unless you are in marketing), but curious how they would know gender, agegroup, etc.

http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo (just type in something like facebook.com or ebay.com to see some examples)
