I was many years ago a keen educational user of Illuminatus. Now several years later and into retirement I have to got back into lecturing again .... but found it easier to use PowerPoint like somemany other speakers on the circuits.

However, I thought I would look again at Opus agin but there are so many versions these days .... any advice on which is best for straight forward Slide Show presentations .... I do like the TIMELINE feature in Opus which is much better than the token timeline provided in PowerPoint. Any advice?

Also I notice that the there is a two monitor feature to allow an autocue facility and am not sure if working on a laptop that needs an additional video or other card to make it work. That facility would be very useful to me.

Any advice would be helpful.

Wecome to the forum. DW has continued pushing and refining their products in the last 5 years (my span of experience). I do not have hands-on for the full range, but this should help.

Most mainstream laptops will have graphics chips that handle two-monitor presentation set-up (check to see if it has a VGA port -- that's a clue). However, more and more the 'vanilla' laptops (ie, middle of the road types and the budget types) may skimp on graphics power and have only 'adequate' display resolution. Cheap graphics processor/chip might share system memory.
