LMC,

Thanks for the link. 'markup'... interesting and maybe has potential. Seems the technical dev is there, but not too friendly in the way introduced (i.e., website and explanations).

Depending what you're looking for, I came across this from Dabbleboard. I am sure there are more such mark-up features used/captive on several of the Collaboration environments -- some synchronous, some asynch.

Great ideas there for an expansion of the drawing tools in Opus.

Interactive Whiteboards are now extremely common in Schools around the world being able to implement pen tools within software is a great addition.

It's all just JavaScript and generally just needs somebody to work out the technical bits and write some functions that perform the necessary actions. OpusScript may be behind in current ECMA specifications, but it has all the core building tools.

Our geopaper sample was written before DW implimented drawing tools but still manages to highlight several of the features of these applications:

I've also seen working examples of the scaling and rotation of drawn objects that work in a similar way. Additionally, I do have a prototype of layer manipulation which when combined with the previous features and DWs drawing functions would allow the creation of very functional and powerful mark-up applications.

It's all just syntax.

Cheers,

It's actually designed to be a teaching tool and can be programmed to independently question students such as asking them to draw a square, isosceles triangle or identify the acute angle but I just have had time to turn it into a full blown package yet.
