I logged onto the Forum today and was surprised there were NO new posts in the last couple of days. I guess we've finally answered ALL the questions about OPUS. WOW. What a milestone.

While I was on, I noticed in addition to "demofred (me)" there were three others: Bing (bot), Google (bot) and another "bot." Am I right that those are automated searching "robots?" What's the deal?

Perhaps what we need is for Apple to start a search engine, then we could have irobots that are intelligent enough to at least pose a question on their way through?

Mack --

I finally got so SICK of my PC for doing (or trying to do) videos, I bought an iMac 27" LED screen/computer/drive all in one piece. Got it home, took it out of the box, plugged it in, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. I have NEVER had to re-boot. It's light years faster at rendering video and DVDs than my PC. NOW I understand why Apple people rave (positively) about their computers.

You should never say "never," but I doubt I will ever buy another Windows PC. When my current machines die -- I will not replace them with a Microsoft operating system. I bought my wife an iPad for our anniversary (I know, "how sweet"). Everything positive you've heard about iPads is true. Today I read where the iPad has seriously cut into the sale of laptops. Companies are switching to having their people standardize on iPads instead of laptops. Schools are switching to iPads over laptops. With other manufacturers coming out with tablets, I expect the sales of laptops is going to drop even more.

If Apple did have a search engine i-robot, I'm sure it would be able to ask a great question. Maybe it would ask "Why are you still using Windows?"

I think it's all swings and roundabouts. At the end of the day, both are simply boxes full of chips and bits that crunch binary. It just happens that Apple decided to build their operating system in a room with four walls so that the computer will do exactly what you brought it for and not go outside of the box. Microsoft decided to put Windows in their room and people could see way beyond the box, but this leads to many, many problems.
