Sure. I'd go there, given a Five.

You seem to be saying "it's in our genes"? :P

Of course in terms of the number of different objects in the toolbox now, is there much hope this capability is near/on-the-horizon? If we do get that ex_port feature, will it have limitations and "no-go" areas like Flex pubs have today?

( I'm trying to be politically correct in not mentioning specifics, keywords, ... )

maybe instead of the over stuffed toolbox - we dust of Illuminatus and build a new version based on technology that already has the export functionality?

OR.... what if Illuminatus ver X.x could be "rounded out", add-in the Quiz/Question stuff, get updated to another level of ECMA script, still kept simple yet robust... bring-in the h t m l 5 purposing, and made Open Source MIT? DW, I think, would gain by some 'assist' on the FOSS progression for certain veins of development, and module contributors (as in the CMS world) -- and still have an edge and wide flexibility to feed and maintain a proprietary superset. I think along the way there would have to be a 'converging point' in here where things are harvested and gelled btw the open-source and DW offering so that good synergies are buoyed-up.

Blast from the past! It was limited though.

I'm unsure what people who use Opus want these days. I know myself I'm opening the app less and less and spending three times as long in other apps to create something that would take a few hours in Opus.

A lot of change in the computer industry, lack of export options is damaging, I now need iOS, Android, Windows 8 export, followed less by HTML5. Shame really, I always liked Opus a very powerful development tool.

I fully agree that 'lack of export options' will become a real problem for Opus as I see a big shift in the use of software on PC's towards iOS or Android base phones and tablets. Though I think Opus is a great program with a lot of potential, it nevertheless would be nice to see export options for these platforms.

As also Flash is no longer available for the latest Android version, 'Flashpiper' (which requires Android v2.2 or greater and Adobe Flash player installed) can not be used any more on Android based equipment.
Therefor the web page on the Digital Workshop website about Flashpiper, with the text "Mobile Presentations Made Easy - Play your presentation, brochure or similar publication on Android phones and make sure it looks exactly the way you intended. Flashpiper plays Flash on flash-enabled Android phones without a browser and in fixed orientation." is obsolete now... It's no longer easy to make mobile presentations using Opus!

Well the OP was just suppose to be a light-hearted trip down memory lane, but if I had to pick it would be a choice between either leaving Opus alone or adding HTML5 export functionality to at least the level of Flex. iOS / Android native wouldn't factor into the application.
