DW told me about their new forum devoted to their OPUS products, so I thought I'd be the "first" to post something here in the Lounge area.

Welcome to all visitors and future regulars! I am sure you will get the answers to specific questions from everyone at DW and other users of these fine products. If I may, I'd like to make a suggestion to anyone who wants to post a question or problem: please give us details of your system (hardward/OS, software), DW software version, and anything else which might help us better understand your unique situation. It's hard to help someone who merely posts "I can't this to work." Give us specifics, and there's a good chance we can help you with our first response.

Again, welcome one and all! As a beta tester for previous versions of Illuminatus, and OPUS, I know the folks at DW really want you to be very happy with their products. So let's start with some questions (in the correct forum areas, naturally).

Welcome everybody and welcome to Fred

Actually it is good to see Fred being the first to post in the user lounge. If the lounge was an old movie, Fred would be seated in the middle of the set surrounded by other Opus users hanging off his every word. I dare say he would probably be dressed in a tweed coat and possibly be enjoying a cigar :D

But having said that, Fred is always ready and willing to help and is an absolute encyclopaedia of information.

There are a lot of similar Freds who will come to this forum in due course and I must say that the people here are absolutely generous with their time and advice and will freely give it provided you have shown a reasonable attempt to solve whatever it is that might be puzzling you at the time.

Belonging to the Opus forum is something that I enjoy and look forward to whenever I can.

Cheers and thanks to all DW for making the changes and for making the fabulous Opus product range It is up to us now to make it work for everyone and to push the boundaries hard.

Cheers

Graham

Hello and welcome Fred & Graham, glad you could join us.

We're thinking the lounge is for general multimedia chit chat as well as general DW discussions while specific questions, advice and discussion goes in the product specific areas. Does that make sense?

Hello Paul
Absolutely makes sense. This area would be a good area for what you suggest. Issues and debates about screen colours, screen designs, human computer interaction, advantages and disadvantages of font types and sizes, and so on would ideally be discussed and debated here.

I think the way you have divided the main forum chapters is a good start. You might find that you will need to add more as members wishes and demands become known.

Cheers

Graham

Hi Paul,

Makes excellent sense to me! :D

I've started a post in the Scripting Area of Opus.

BTW, I'm looking forward to the release of Opus Pro XE! As you know, I was a beta tester and like Fred, I am very impressed with it indeed... Well done! :P

Hello Robin,

I'll contact you here. I'm trying to figure out how to reply to a post and link it off the individual post? :?:

It seems however that replies are appended to the last post made?

Or is it my old browser?

If I have replied successfully to your post (linked directly to it), then what I did was click on QUOTE beside your message. If this is the case, perhaps it could say QUOTE and a REPLY.... or am I going blind?

BTW, nice forum! :)
