New possibilities -- via TogetherJS: two people on 1 site

I just discovered this today, but I think it has been out there about a month.

IIUC, I think there are multiple ways to invoke it,... a User can send a private-invite (my interpretation here) to another person to join him. Another possibly is a generally open-invite to multiple simultaneous users. I'll need to spend more time there to learn if that is the way it works.

Hi Lars

This is an interesting concept and I can see that there could be real benefits where someone say for example is browsing your website and someone else offers to help the browser find what they were looking for or do what they wanted to do.

It would also be a great use to developers working on a site especially if the developers were remote to each other.

Thinking beyond the square - it possibly could be helpful if say DW were able to log into my Opus development screen and watch what I'm doing when a bug happens. You could let DW have a play to diagnose whatever the cause is. Of course, this remote access is common on networks, but I'm not sure if it is possible over the web. Then again, hackers don't seem to have trouble do they?

I'm not sure TogetherJS is of use to me but I can see that it could be useful to others

Good thoughts there. But when you say DW observe and debug, I'm not yet up-to-speed with debugging webpages (Firebug ??). But if that scenario works, then great.

I am designing some workbooks, and even without TogetherJS, the cloud components already have something there to enable sharing of pages, data, and IIRC some form of collaborative input. With the arrival of mozilla's thing, I can foresee having the main User/Reader invite two or three friends to work through some interactive steps.

My head is hurting on this.
