almost every day I receive phony SPAM email, supposedly from a bank, or my email provider. When I click to unveil the true emailer, it almost always is from the UK. I am wondering if they are getting my email address from this board? I know there are bots which crawl through this type of forum, looking for email addresses.

Anyone else bothered by this problem?

Yes, I would imagine that having your email address on a board such as this would cause it to get harvested by spammers. It has definitely been harvested by the Google search engine for the site, so is clearly visible to bots.

Whether this is the cause of your spam, I wouldn't care to speculate :-) but I'll swap you your UK spam for all my USA ones but I'm keeping the Russian brides ones :-)
