Hi,

We distribute Opus-created software to schools and other educational establishments, and several have said it would be very useful to have an MSI file to speed up the install process. Using Advanced Installer 7.7 (Freeware), I have created an MSI file which installs all the files we need locally. The problem is, when I launch the MSI, it acts like a normal installation and isn't automated, which is what we need it to be. I'm now wondering if technicians in schools would have some way of automating the process using the MSI, because I know if you launch the file with 'passive' as a parameter from the command line, it installs with nothing but a progress bar.

I'm not sure if anyone would have any insight into this, but any help would be much appreciated.

If you mean that when they click on the MSI it progresses without the normal screens, then you want the Limit to basic user interface on the Install Parameters section.

I think schools could also be using the MSI with Windows Server to push it out to client computers.
