Hello,
I hope someone with advanced knowledge of Opus Pro will read this. I am currently hoping to develop a image heavy database of botanical plants would like to develop a software application that allows the user tosort images and their associated data according to specific parameters. It must be user-friendly and not require programming skills. The closest technology that I have found that would fulfill my requirements is the Pivotviewer control which was incorporated into the Silverlight platform and its associated add-in for Microsoft Excel.
I understand that Microsoft neglected to update the Pivotviewer add-in for later versions of Excel and Silverlight is now considered to be anobsolete technology. I have been told it is now superseded by HTML5 for a lot of purposes.
I wondered whether it would be possible to use the Opus Pro to create Pivotviewer Collections and run them in Opus Pro "publications" using the HTML5 Pivotviewer control. I understand that it's possible to attach external scripts to Opus Pro publications and to make JQuery functions perform operations on Opus code (OpusScript).
http://www.digitalworkshop.com/products/opus-pro.shtmlAn Australian company has developed a variation of the Pivotviewer control written as a Jquery plugin, so I wondered whether I could use Opus Pro to create the PivotViewer collections for my database application?
cheers.
