Opus: Opus Pro 7.5
OS: Windows 7 32 bit on BootCamp
System: MacBook Pro, 3 GBytes RAM, Core2Duo T8300@2.4 GHz,
Hi all,

hope there's still people using Opus Pro out there...! I am certainly still using it and I started a new eLearning project within 2024...
Opus Pro is still very useful for me!

I am facing an issue which I guess may have to do with technology moving on from older things to newer things...

My publication has lots of text in the Greek language and it displays fine in text objects in Opus Pro.
However, if I type in Greek inside a text input, it appears as funny characters. I tried so much to fix it but I cannot.
Any ideas here? I'm guessing this is not only with Greek and has to do with charsets, UTF and TTF fonts evolution?

thank you very much in advance

Dennis Zervas

I still use Opus, but mostly just for my own classes. Unfortunately, I can't help you, but I just wanted to let you know that there are still a few users, although the forum seems now a deserted ghost town. Glad we have a bit of us tumbleweeds rolling in.
I also have the new Adobe Captivate and Active Presenter, but I still find Opus the quickest and easiest to use. I do have issues with fonts not displaying correctly, which is why I don't usually use Opus beyond personal use.

I hope you find your solution, Dennis.

I don't use Opus much these days, but have you looked at attaching actions to the text input box. The text input could be set up to trigger on ALTC and when detected inserted the correct character into another text box. I have no idea if this would work. You would have to devise a code for the ASCII characters you want to insert since the text box action can only accept a single character with a key modifier. You would also need a script to act as a key translator? can you post a simple demo of the problem?
