Hi,
I would like to have my pub (pub.exe) automatically launch after it has been downloaded. In other words, I want to have it start on it's own without user intervention after say 30 seconds. Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for your enquiry.

If I understand your question, you want to place a standalone publication executable on your web server and somehow configure this executable to launch itself automatically once a user has downloaded the file? As far as I am aware, this is not possible (and the Internet would be a much more dangerous place if it was).

The user will always be responsible for launching the file, whether by selecting the 'Open' option when clicking on the initial link, selecting the 'Run' option once the file has downloaded, or by double-clicking on the downloaded file.

I hope this helps. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries.

Kind regards,
