I have developed a database pub with peoples detials on it but I cant figure out how to get the age of someone from their DOB. Tried Using SYSTEM_TIME_YEAR etc and have broken the DOB into 3 variables for day month and year to try to compare them and get the age buy my scripting is poor(are there any scripting classes in Belfast???) so any help would be great. I think its quite easy but obviously Im doing something daft. Also when I do a search for Names for eg I can get them ok but have to view them one at a time via next or previous is there a way to show a list of the records found within opus or can i even put all the found records into a new access file and open it. Hope you can read to the end of this without dozing off.

In Opuscript, believe you will use getTime(), havent tried it myself but have a go with it...

In Acces you could create a calculated field called Age from a field call dob using the formula below.

Age: ((Date()-[dob])/365.25)
