I use Opus Pro 5.5XE and have created a publication which uses the Change Publication Evaluation Action to allow users to evaluate my software for a set period.

When the software starts, it checks the PUBLICATION_EVALUATION variable to see whether the evaluation period has expired or not.

If it has expired and the customer purchases the software, they are issued automatically with an Unlock Code which uses the Change Publication Evaluation Action to set the "Ignore the expiry time" action and allows them to use the software without restriction.

It works perfectly until you login to windows as a different user. The publication seems to ignore the "Ignore the expiry time" action and the publication reverts to an evaluation. I am not sure if the problem is with the PUBLICATION_EVALUATION variable, or the "Change Publication Evaluation Action"

I am familiar with but have chosen not to use the Publication Evaluation Key Generator because it requires manual intervention to generate an Unlock Code.

Please investigate at you earliest convenience. Any comments greatly appreciated.

I'd be interested to know how you do this if you can spare the time.

Thanks

The registration information is stored in the user part of the registry, rather than the computer part; so each registration is specific to the user rather than the whole PC.
