If a DLL was created with the code to produce a sine wave, would this be faster than using scripting??

Linda,

The ActionScript I attached in this thread only works in Flash or Swishmax. You have to create the SWF file first and then bring it in to Opus and display however you normally display Flash files. I don't believe you would be able to make it "interactive" by allowing someone in Opus to alter it during runtime.

The following is done in Opus v6. I think these Draw commands are new this version.

I did some playing to get more into scripting. There's not a lot there, but maybe it will serve as a starter for some use or some refinement. I did not take time to organize the parameters that drive the curves and speed, as I found by trial and error that it is not always intuitive.

Here's a pub that illustrate a couple examples.
Buttons trigger different cosine 'waves'.
It is Opus Flex type.

* Key issue is as Paul commented much earlier... Opus will bog down.

Here the speed starts out fine, then degrades. What is needed is to destroy previously drawn points... and I didn't get anywhere with that. And then somehow get it to repeat the draw. Maybe others can work magic with Arrays or Clones?

If you just need to draw a simple wave then this example may help.
