Hi Mack,

Oddly enough the pub is playing fine on Vista, the playback machine that is causing me the angst is XP Pro!!!

I made a shed load of these VR's in the past without any issues - all running on XP.
It's just the ones that I have embedded into the latest version of Opus7 (and apparently with any flavour of QT) that is causing a problem

I will try a bit of lateral thinking today and see if I can remedy the problem - will post if succsessful

Thanks again

Pete

Uninstalling Quick time 7 and Quick time alternative and then installing Quick time 6 seems to have sorted the problem on the Windows XP playback machine.
However, assuming that Apple in their wisdom is ceasing to support QTVR, what are our alternatives for producing qtvr objects within Opus and newer OS?

Hi Pete,

Completely agree. Had to work on a clean W7x86 machine yesterday and tried out QT. The newer version of alternative still caused issues, but the older version ran fine.

Assuming the QTVR in Opus is just a ActiveX - if we can find which one, it might work just to register that file whilst still using QT7. However, I wonder whether this is an Opus issues because the QTVRs play in IE / FF using the latest version of QT alternative and they appear to load in Opus just not when previewed.

Perhaps fire off an email to DW?

Mack
