Digital Workshop

I am working on a project (management simulation) which uses frames in which there are hypertext links. I am simulating Emails appearing over a 2 hour period. However, because of the many pages involved, the user then comes back to the (extended) hypertext list, but has no indication which links have been used. Trial test feedback from users indicates that this is a highly desirable option.

In short, I want it to work like a web browser, with changed coloured text.
Has ayone one been here before? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
