How would I do this?

I need to create a moving background that is constantly moving, randomly made up of shapes... rather than video...

I need this background to be constant across the project rather than changing on each page. e.g - when the page changes, the shapes continue to move seamlessly from the position they were in on the previous page.

I'm sure this could be done using script? Perhaps? taking a recording of the position of each shape when the page changes and then telling the shape on the next page to start from that position... maybe

Or is there another way?

The quickest method I can think of would be to use a single page with multiframe taking the place of the normal pages, so each "page" is a frame in the multiframe.

I'll give that a try! - I've never used the multiframe tool before...

I was a little worried that there would be too much content on one page to keep track of. It'll be used for a live event where changes to content will neeed to be quick and easy.

I've given it a try and I can't understand why I've never used it before!

It seems to do exactly what I need.

Now the only problem is getting the publication to run smoothly... its going to be projected using 4 projectors through a watchout system. Publication size is 3463 x 768 pixels !
