Hi All,

This is not a request on how to do it. It is just a request to find out if this can be done in Opus 6.... Before I try to attempt to do this. :?

I want to attempt to write a quote programme.
Requirements:
1. Encript each product name - beyond MS Access's hackable security. (so that the programme restricts users from quoting opposition products.)
2. Allow users to configure their own quote layout/format from a limited range of predefined formats.
3. Allow users to customise the quote layout with their own company logos.
4. Able to print an wysiwyg A4 hardcopy of the quote without being able to modify this. (No e-mail facilities are needed.)
5. Be able to retrieve a previously generated quote, from a database.

Regards

Neil

Can't see any technical reason why it couldn't be done.
As in most complex pubs like this, it will depend on the experience of the developer, not any restrictions caused by Opus :)

Hi Neil,

Hope all is well. Just a quick note:

As Paul advices, it's pretty much upto the technical ability of the creator as to whether you can achieve this in Opus. My two cents worth are:

Use 1crypt to solve issue number one - it's 256bit AES and can be easily implimented into Opus (I'll snd the code or search the forum)

Item four is the real pain - many possilbe solutions but it's whcih one is easiest and feasable to impliment.
