There is some software for ebooks that has the feature of disabling publications once a customer pays for it and then requests a refund.
Is possible with Opus?
This link (http://www.remotelocker.com/faqs.php) is something similar as a service online , but maybe playing with variables with the unique password generator and with an OPus file on a server is possible too.
Any ideas?

Noone can help me??
I am studying this...
I can set an hidden browser window that automatically launch a link on my site every time the publication is opened.
This link contains the unique password of the pub, so I can recognize it through a tracking script installed on my site.
How can I get the unique password variable ?
This is the first step of the process....

Another simple solution should be install on my site a text file for each password to disable. Every time the pub is opened the browser window searching for this file is launched. This file contains variables for opus to disable the password. In that case how can I disable the password and lock the pub again?

This suggestion is only partly facetious.

Why not do what Microsoft, Adobe, Corel, and others do? Don't allow refunds and cancellations?

Opus provides a great way of letting you provide evaluation copies limited to whatever period you choose. Surely if a client evaluates (proving that the publication runs on the target hardware) and then buys (proving customer satisfaction) there isn't likely to be a justification for a cancellation/refund.

Or, possibly I've missed the whole point of your post -- that's been known to happen before

thanks Sentosa for your answer..... what you say is right, but unfortunately I am not Windows or Corel and so on :( , so sometime I have sold a pub through paypal or Clickbank and then a customer ask for a refund ( that is available with these payment gates). So I have no money and the customer can keep the digital product.
There are other products with this feature as I mentioned on the other posts, that is very interesting for who sells digital ebooks for example....
I only want to know how can I get the unique password variable and if it is possible to lock again the pub.

You could offer a secondary payment confirmation key, for example, someone could purchase your unlock key then you set a secondary key that triggers one week or month after, if satisfied.

Silvia,
Thanks for bringing up this discussion.

I looked at the Clickbank site.

So, thinking out loud here...
They say in the FAQ:
11. I have other QUERY_STRING parameters I'd like ClickBank to pass back to my site after the customer completes payment. Can I do that?

Yes. You can pass up to 128 bytes of additional parameters.

If (big 'if') Clickbank would send that same data back to you on a Refund Transaction, I would think either you could have eBookgenerator or eBookPro manage with an update and cancelled code. Alternatively, why not set all that up in Opus? Run 1st 8 weeks without 'control', then have Opus PostData/GetData to your server/database for "valid status" codes which you keep up-to-date with the Clickbank transaction reports.

Just TOL.
