Hi

In Opus there is an object that you can insert called docview. Within the docview, you can launch files from other programs, provided that the end-user has the same program on their computer in order to view the docview file. So, if you launch a .doc file within docview, the end-user will need a copy of Word installed to run the file.

If they have the Office program, then they will be able to do all of the interaction. Even if the end-user doesn't have the full version of Word (or another program) installed, they may still be able to download and use a viewer:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=95E24C87-8732-48D5-8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en

However, the viewers will not allow interactions available in the full programs and are limited to features like viewing, printing and copying. So, for interactive practice, this will not help.

You would probably need to have a text box display before the end-user navigates to the pages in which you have added docviews, letting them know that they will need specific Office programs to fully utilize the next pages, or they can download the viewers (you can provide the links) for a more limited experience.

An alternative would be to insert demo lessons, but again, these are not interactive in terms of practicing with the Office programs.

I hope this helps. :)

Kind Regards,
